Now is the time, time for peace,
Hatred and crime, to finally cease,
Live together, and get along,
Stop the killing, for it is wrong.
Help those in need, lend a hand,
Fight crime back, take a stand,
Become involved, take back your street,
Help the Police, who patrol their beat.

Help those in need, lend a hand,
Fight crime back, take a stand,
Become involved, take back your street,
Help the Police, who patrol their beat.
They don't receive, the credit they deserve,
They're here for us all, to protect and serve,
See a crime, report what you see,
The Police are here, for you and me.
See a Drunk Driver, save a Life,
It may be your own, or maybe your wife,
Report a criminal, help fight Child Abuse,
Abusing a child, there is no excuse.
Help fight crime, so it won't increase,
Lend a hand, to help the Police,
If we all help out, crime will decrease,
Isn't it about time; "Time For Peace."

"Is daddy coming home soon?" asks a precious little face.
"It's past when he should be here.
Is he working on a case?"
Your dad's not coming home son.
He's working late tonight.
He's a policeman up in heaven, making sure we're all alright.
"But mommy, why'd he leave us?
I miss him when he's gone."
I know you miss him darling, but
"Is daddy coming home soon?" asks a precious little face.
"It's past when he should be here.
Is he working on a case?"
Your dad's not coming home son.
He's working late tonight.
He's a policeman up in heaven, making sure we're all alright.
"But mommy, why'd he leave us?
I miss him when he's gone."
I know you miss him darling, but now we must be strong.
"Who's gonna teach me baseball, and help me fly my kite.
And help me with my homework,
and buy me my first bike?"
Your daddy loved you darling, and he didn't want to leave.
But a bad man took, your daddy, and left us all to grieve.
Be proud of who your dad was,
and how he earned his pay.
Because it's people like your daddy
that keep us safe each day.
"Mommy, when I get bigger, and if it's okay with you,
I'm gonna be like daddy, and be a policeman too."

A special kind of woman: a cut above the rest,
That's A Police Officer's Wife, rating her best.
How many good byes are whispered, joined with a fond embrace?
As duty steals her man, for the danger he must face.

How many good byes are whispered, joined with a fond embrace?
As duty steals her man, for the danger he must face.
How often have meals been ruined - or tender moments disturbed,
by a call for special duty, sparking loyalty un-swerved?
It's a devil of a job, for an angel like this,
Who for the love of her man, must forsake that kiss,
She can run a garden tractor; even paint a room in need,
How she can stretch a dollar is a miracle indeed.
She's mother, lover, chauffeur and nurse,
A living symbol of: "for better or for worse."
Rich is the man, reaping his rewards in life,
Who chose to be the other half of "A Police Officer's Wife"

For all those who trust me...
And compassion for those who need me
And, please, Lord, through it all; be at my side.

Courage calls the brave to arms.
You wear the badge that marks your heart. Standing in the line of fire for the call of duty.
You have our thanks, though silent we may be.
It takes some time for the secure to see.
Your presence makes us feel safe to walk the street,
Without fearing the people that we may meet. For that we are forever in your debt;
You, our protectors, though we may never have met.
We thank you all for what you do,
And know that we have pride and respect for you.

For waking every day, your watch to keep.
